In 2017, during the Opposition of the Dakota Access Pipeline at Standing Rock, Robert Pilot started Native Roots Radio. Robert saw a need for Native Representation in media, especially truthful information about issues that affect the American Indian Population. Native Roots Radio continues to uplift voices and information about issues and programs for Native people in the Midwest. It is now on-air weekdays in the Twin Cities, MN, and Stations across WI, as well as Saturdays in Chicago, IL.An important part of our mission includes sharing opportunities for Native advancement and support. The items sold on our shop are handmade and/or designed by artisans from the Ho Chunk Nation. Native issues are human issues, and human issues are native issues.
